Profile
Udo Heimermann
Year of birth 1961
Studied architecture at Koblenz, Kaiserslautern and Wuppertal (Germany)
Married with three children
Lives in Germany’s most northerly red wine area in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler
Right from an early age, Heimermann was inspired to study architecture by the dreamlike River Ahr countryside. It was here that he developed the philosophy of natural and organic architecture, as, using his fundaments, modern man can thus be led back to the unison and harmony of inner peace and nature. For two decades now, Heimermann has been using his architecture to galvanise people and to increase general awareness for an amicable balance between nature and culture. Heimermann is a member of the “Deutschen Dachverband Lehm” (German Association for Building with Earth) and the “Institut für Baubiologie” (Institute of Building Biology).
The architecture office has been in existence since 1991 and has, on average, three to six employees. The office focuses on ecological and biological building techniques.
